New Pediatrician Joins Medical Community

DODGE CITY, KANSAS. November 2, 2009 - Western Plains Medical Complex is pleased to announce that a new physician has joined the medical community of Dodge City. Aixell Mercedes, MD has joined the Dodge City Medical Center group practice and will be on the active medical staff at Western Plains as a new pediatrician.

Dr. Mercedes comes to Kansas after completing her Residency in Pediatric Medicine at Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. She received her medical degree from the Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Her husband, Dr. Ulices Perez Feliz, joined the Dodge City Medical Center earlier this fall and is working as an internal medicine physician. The doctors have three children.
